Philosophy
At the Kuwait American School, we educate the SSPICEE of the whole
person – the Social, Spiritual, Physical, Intellectual, Cultural, Emotional,
and Energetic qualities of each and every student from the inside out.
We promote a values based atmosphere that honors the dignity,
integrity, learning styles and natural gifts in us all. Our foundation for all
learning is LVRUS - Love, Valuing each person, Respect, Understanding and
Security.
We cherish all learning, the education of heart and mind, the
promotion of international understanding, and celebrating each other’s culture
where our collective energies are dedicated to promoting and modeling high
quality learning and the highest of moral and ethical standards.
With love, discipline, and mindfulness, we seek to nurture the
identity and gifts of each and every person without prejudice to their faith,
beliefs, or origins.
We place special emphasis on personality education, learning to
belong to a global world community and learning to be human beings and not just
human doings.
We are particularly interested in emphasizing that holistic
learning, social awareness, and spiritual integrity are central to an
appreciation of applying our natural talents, living our values, and learning
for life.
