Etiquette Program
The Kuwait American
School has an unique Etiquette,
Character and Health Education Program.
The program is developed with students
in two parts.
The first part is a taught program, for
all grades, to help develop the
student's character and personality. The
program includes:
• How to say please, thank you and
answer the telephone.
• How to take care of your mind and body
through healthy eating, exercise and a
positive outlook on life,and
• How to conduct yourself with honor and
integrity in school and in society.

The school uses the Living Values
Education program teaching materials,
local health education programs and
moral stories from Kuwait, the Middle
East and around the world to educate the
students.
The second part is the healthy eating
program. This part of the program takes
place in the school restaurant each day.
It is here that the students arrive in
the restaurant, clean their hands and
sit at a table with four students. In
front of them is a place setting and
napkin. Healthy food and a healthy drink
is served to them. The students say a
prayer before and at the end of the
meal.
The Etiquette, Character and Health
Education program is an excellent
complement to the rigors of the academic
curriculum and help to educate the whole
child from the inside out. |
