Value Based Approach

The school believes that values education and character development are very important for the holistic development of the student.

We educate from the inside out, from the seed to the tree, and in an atmosphere that is as organic as in nature as it is secure and nurturing.

We define values as:

The principles and fundamental convictions that act as a guide to behavior.
Enduring beliefs about what is worthwhile.
Ideals for which one strives
The standards, beliefs, and actions that are judged to good and desirable.

An Educational Program that is supported by UNESCO and UNICEF, as the main methodology for the education of character.

The program educates 12 universal values. They are: Peace, Respect, Responsibility, Love, Humility, Happiness, Simplicity, Honesty, co-operation, Unity, Freedom, and Tolerance.

These Values are modeled in school, in class and in assemblies. One value is educated every 6 to 8 weeks. We have three whole school assemblies each week where the Principal, staff, and each class show how we can practically live that value. All the students then join in the activities in class and around school. Parents are informed of the value and are invited to join in implementing it at home.

Our school was the first School in Kuwait to offer this approach to learning in 1999. We are now a leading school in this field of learning. By invitation, we are currently supporting the training of educators in the state and private sectors throughout Kuwait. Examples of our work have also been adopted throughout the world by like minded educators.

We are a learning school and welcome partnerships to help co-create and enrich our values based approach to learning and education.
