KAS Athletic Program
An active lifestyle is crucial to the development of adolescents. At KAS students are encouraged to try out for the multiple sports teams offered at the middle and high school level. They hone their skills, experience challenges and competition, as well as learn to work as a team and consider a group versus individual benefit.
The school participates in the following leagues in Kuwait:
KFSAC- Kuwait Foreign Schools Activities Conference
This league is the Elementary school league for categories under 9 years old (Year 3-4) & Under 11 years old. Students participate in a variety of athletic competitions against around 14 other schools across Kuwait.
Sports include; football, bench ball, basketball, netball, and athletics for boys, girls, and mixed groups.
Students are selected from their physical education classes to compete in these sports events. The physical education classes at the elementary level are aligned to the schedule of competitions.
USAK- United Schools Association of Kuwait.
The United Schools Association of Kuwait (USAK) is a middle high school league with 9 competing schools across Kuwait.
USAK seeks to create, promote and foster cooperation among its member schools by providing a forum for communication and discussion, by promoting and/or sponsoring activities and athletic events, and by seeking to serve as an extension of each member schools’ program to enhance the development of the students, the schools, and the organization.
KAS students in middle and high school are encouraged to try out for their school's teams.
Students may try out for the following sports which includes an annual fee. Students’ acceptance or place on a school team is subject to academic and behavior expectations.
